Voice of the Masses: Are you attending any FOSS events?
|We’re busy packing our bags for our upcoming trip to OggCamp. Our question for you this fortnight is, what free software related events are you visiting in the next 12 months? Will you be geeking out at a big conference, or showing off your creations at a local Raspberry Jam? Perhaps your LUG is organising something. What ever it is, let us know in the comments below.
As always, we’ll read out the replies in our upcoming podcast.

It’s tempting to make a trip to New Zealand next January and take the opportunity to go to linux.conf.au, but 150 $ are a bit expensive. Maybe.
I’m lucky that work fund my trips because for the bigger events the ticket prices can be quite eye-watering. Aside from the company’s own events (which are all about FLOSS on ARM) I shall be giving a talk at KVM Forum which helpfully subsidises the cost for speakers.
Sadly there seems to be next to nothing in Devon.
Me and a few coworkers are taking the advantage of Richard Stallman coming to Montreal next month.
Would definitely like to go to FOSDEM 2015. Tried last year, but as usual work gets in the way. Will look for somesmaller conferences in Germany or France nearer to where I live.
I have just come back fro EMFCamp empcamp.org that was totally awesome. Does that count?
I will be attending FSCONS in Gothenburg: https://fscons.org/2014/
I’ll be at FSCONS in Gothenburg as well. And hopefully FOSDEM in 2015.
I will only be able to go to OggCamp itself. Mind you bringing my kids along too.
*SOB* I was supposed to have been at OggCamp (I write the talk scheduling software they use… plug, plug – http://github.com/CampFireManager/cfm2) but I can’t make it this year *SOB*
Ohio LinuxFest and Penguicon are both on my “must attend” list.
I sometimes go to FOSDEM, but couldn’t make it this year as I was unable to justify the cost of flying out to Belgium for the weekend. Fortunately, Newcastle Airport now do direct flights to Brussels International for £80 – so now I have no excuse.
