Python Gallery
|In issue 2 we challenged you to create the best drawing you could in 100 lines of Python using just the turtle module. These are the results, and we think they’re fantastic, so a big thank you to everyone who entered. Although the contest is now closed (so there aren’t any more prizes), we’re still looking for new entries. The rules are simple:
- No more than 100 lines of Python (either 2 or 3)
- Only the turtle module and nothing else can be imported
- The code must be released under an open license (OSI approved)
If you’d like your code featured on this page, just e-mail it to ben@linuxvoice.com.

Is the last one thee Mark Shuttleworth of ubuntu or someone with the same name,
Glad my submission was not displayed… Obviously Ben does not want to embarrass me by disclosing my inadequacies in the artistry or the coding departments! But Jonathan Whittaker’s picture reminds me of the Hobbit on the ZX Spectrum (Melbourne House)…any one remember that?
These are awesome!
Maybe we should keep the submissions open, and have a voting system? We could call it the 100-line turtle challenge.
These are awesome! I’m thinking you should keep the competition open – you could call it the ‘100 line turtle challenge’? And did Mark Shuttleworth really submit an entry, or was this just to see if anyone was checking this page?!
that’s weird. a bit like when you use a vending machine and the first time nothing comes out, then you put in another load of change and then both go through.
