Christmas Quiz
|Forget the fancy graphics of Valve’s latest offering – the only computer game a Linux user needs this year is a good quiz on all things Linux-y. Here are eight rounds of fiendish questions on everything from the Kernel to hardware to see if you know your Tux from your Beastie.
Round 1: The Kernel

Too many people and early dates to remember. The early 1990s were a coke-blur to me
@foo Just goes to show the era of the quiz-setter….us young ‘uns never paid attention in ancient history classes or watched the repeats of Fawlty Coders on UK Gold.
I like this quiz. Awesome!
My score was 36/80.. Sigh.

“You scored 39 out of 80”.
I don’t want to live in this planet anymore.
I have amazed myself with a score of 40/80. Looks like my guessing skills are good 😉
Which of the following hasn’t been attempted with a Raspberry Pi (yet!!)?
Brewing beer
Raspberry Pi submarine
An autonomous Atlantic crossing
Sent to near space
I think this counts as a submarine, http://rlab.org.uk/284/ or this http://rlab.org.uk/rlab-at-elephant-and-castle-mini-maker-faire/img_0450/
Initially I was ashamed of my ignorance with a score of 47, but it looks like I have the highscore! Now I’m ashamed of time wasted browsing news.google.co.uk – linux!
49/80 not bad , quite happy with that. There were some difficult ones there.
Only excessive and copious alcohol consumption could possibly excuse my pathetic 36/80. Only trouble is, I am stone cold sober. That’s rather depressing to be honest. Some small consolation in the particular answers I got right, but some dumb errors as well. Did I get the perms question right?
Thanks for putting together a tough and yet entertaining quiz. And Happy New Year to all.
