Last chance to get a sub starting from issue 1!
Yes, issue 1 of Linux Voice is almost here, and if you haven’t subscribed yet, now is the time. If you want to your subscription to begin with issue 1, buy it from our online shop before the end of tomorrow (Saturday 15th February). Any subscriptions bought after that date will begin with issue 2.
Of course, you’ll be able to buy LV #1 in shops around the world, and we plan to sell individual issues online too (more on this next week). I was wondering what had happened to you guys, I was getting the feed for Linux Lifestyle until November and then nothing. Then I decided today to go to your website, only to find that you have changed it to Linux Voice. You should have posted a message in the Linux Lifestyle RSS feed to update us on the change, so I have missed you guys the last 2 months, but at least now I know where to find you again.
Do those of us who pledged via indiegogo need to do anything?
If you bought a sub on Indiegogo, nope, those will all start from issue 1!
How are you getting our address? As I thoight you had problems getting the names for those who pledged £10.
Anyone who bought a subscription on Indiegogo, or buys a subscription in the Linux Voice Shop now, has to enter their delivery address. So there's no problem at all. With the Founder perks during the Indiegogo campaign, for some reason Indiegogo only gave us the email addresses, hence why we had to ask for the names.

(There was a complication with people who bought individual £10 Founder perks on Indiegogo, but that's resolved and a completely separate thing.)
How are the digital subscriptions delivered? Via email with a download link?

Looks like I missed the first issue on the online subscription, any way to get a subscription now starting with issue 1?
Digital subscriptions still start from issue 1, but all print subscriptions start from issue 2. We hope to sell back-issues soon though… Keep an eye on the site!
What shops can I find the mag in? I tried 3 branches of WHSmith and a big Tesco, none of them had it.

I bought issue 1 from this website. Then I found it in WH Smith in Southend-on-Sea, but those copies all lacked the DVD.
I look forward to receiving it in the post, with the DVD.
So are you guys doing anything about magazines not having the DVD attached in shops? Is it like that in all shops? Or just one? Or are the DVDs separated from the magazine and we have to ask for them?

I was a bit quick setting up my Indiegogo account plus had one too many beers at the time and was one of the dopey ones who put in a wrong email address. I have sent an email to you guys via the Indiegogo site and one to Mike, but you are all probably flat out running around doing magazine stuff, any chance you can help me out? So not only did I miss the sub from issue 1, but when I finally was able to buy issue 1 and now want to subscribe, the subscription has to start from issue 3. So how comes it cannot start from the current issue? i.e. issue 2.
Because issue 2 subscriptions have already been sent out. We have almost 1,200 print subscribers, and we don’t post individual subscription issues by hand (we’re far too busy making the magazine).
So we have a distributor that does the mailing around the world, and they need a list of addresses by a set date. That date has come and gone. But we had subscriptions starting from issue 2 on sale on our online shop for four weeks, so everyone had plenty of time. Thanks!
Sometimes I just forget to do these things, oh well, if I subscribe now I should hopefully get issue 3, as well as access to 2 online. Thanks for all the hard work you guys have put into making this magazine, so far from reading issue 1 I am impressed! It is like the old Linux Format you guys worked on, only better. Linux Format is not the same any more, long live Linux Voice!
I bought a digital sub maybe 2 months ago and I have heard nothing, got no email, no idea where my digital mag comes from etc.some advice on your site would be nice. A big sign for us myopics saying “This way to the digital subs”. Any help appreciated.
