Hi, WHY DON’T LINUX ADVOCATES WORK TOGETHER? Over 20 MAIN DISTRIBUTIONS & OVER 4,000 “FLAVOURS”.. This is an INTOLERABLE LABYRINTH, especially for NERDS…There are only a limited number of ways of do something.. What about BACKWARD & CROSS COMPATIBILITY ( yawn, that is so boring ).. RELEASE CYCLES OUT OF SYNC… MOST PEOPLE, e.g., don’t want to keep “REPAIRING” the SOUND SYSTEM EVERY 6 MONTHS… 3rd. PARTY SOFTWARE COMPANIES are ALIENATED … KERNEL PROBLEMS , let’s NOT talk about that…. ETC…. ETC…. Dhan Hurley
Hi, I am using a SOLARIS OS COMPUTER at the UNIVERSITY…. The ePUB low-res (18MB) versions is NOT COMPATIBLE….. HaHaHaHa
Hi Dhan, doesn’t the PDF version work on Solaris? I’m assuming Solaris has some kind of PDF reader, even if it’s a port of an open source one…
Hello Dhan,
Never used Solaris so not sure about epub readers but I think epub is just a kind of zip file, so while not the best way to read a magazine you could always try just unzipping it and reading the resulting html files with your internet browser pointed to the local files.
Hi Dhan!
Just a reflection on the jungle of linux distros and flavours:
If we link the amount of distros to the number of ways to do things, then I would be amazed that there aren’t more distros and flavours.
Hi, the PDFs don’t seem to be coming out on a regular basis any more – anything the community can do to help? I’m certainly willing to assist in any way to do layout checks, or anything else if it’s an effort to convert to PDF.
Cheers!
Hi, more will come when they are 9 months old!
