As you may recall, I was asked to report about my experience with riscOS on a Rasperry Pi. When I last reported, I had come to a halt due to a fuse blowing in my telly (used as a monitor) . It has taken since then to get a 10 amp fuse for the telly. It seems to be working, and not conquered by evil spirits, stay tuned.
After remembering to plug everything in, the Pi seems to be working. Now how do I use the apps ?
Glad it’s working! No idea how to use it though — I haven’t used RISC OS in over a decade 🙂
It’s plugged into my router, but how do I log on to it ? I have a programme called net that launches a program called LanManager, and a web browser, but no idea what to type into LanManager to get it to log on to my router!!
Probably worth asking on the RISC OS forums:

I listened to this episode last week and enjoyed Graham’s discovefind about the Aphex Twin password harvesting ruse.
This afternoon by staggering coincidence I happened to have a chat in the park with Weirdcore, the person behind the live visuals for the Field Day show!
I asked about the source code business but it turns out it’s the code for the password harvesting portal page rather than for the visuals themselves.
Still it was a very exciting moment! Keep spreading the good word
That’s amazing!!! Thanks for letting me know. I realised my mistake after the podcast when I actually took a look at the code. But it’s still a great idea. I’m sure I can see a few of my own password attempts in the YouTube video of the event.
