Not sure if it was this episode talking about Firefox Focus. I did just discover a quick way to save bookmarks: select the link in the address bar, press/get options, select all, select browser. This will pop-up all your browsers, select one to open the link directly in that browser (e.g regular Firefox). I love this browser – great addition for Android users! Thanks, guys –
PS: I had to use this feature just now to post! FF Focus apparently blocks the captcha ( :
It was me who mentioned Firefox Focus – I meant to add it to the Finds section.
I’m really enjoying using it and don’t miss many of the features in the standard Firefox I used to think were essential (it’s still installed, of course!).
To save bookmarks, I use the ‘Add to Home screen’ option from the small menu. This adds a link to the current site to your Android launcher, and I put these links into a ‘Bookmark’s folder within the launcher for easy access.
Regarding mp3 needing a replacement. You should have mentioned Ogg Opus since it offers audio transparency at significantly lower bitrates. Heck, you’ve even got an Opus feed of the podcast.
Good point. I meant to mention this, but somehow missed the moment. Opus is full of win, but MP3’s just have a huge mindshare and the ability to ‘just work’ on far more platforms.
Don’t ask me about sound quality, latency, etc. I sometimes have a whistling sound in my ears.
Congrats to Ben for using a great word like Catharsis
